We would like to provide you with some information to make the move to your new home as easy as possible.
Step 1: The application process:
1. You can stop by any Skyline property to begin your application, but because your time is valuable, we suggest that you make an appointment. Skyline Property phone numbers
2. Come prepared, there are several things that you will need to bring with you. Read our Rental Qualifying Criteria page.
Step 2: Signing the Lease:
1. After you application is approved, a representative from the Skyline community that you are moving to will contact you and set up a time that is conveniant for you to come in and sign your lease.
2. Make sure you read your lease and all of the addendums carefully, they are legal documents which explain your rights and responsibilities.
Step 3: Preparring to move into your new Skyline home.
1. Contact the United States Postal Service to change your address.
2. Check with your Skyline representative to see which utilities Skyline will transfer into your name and which utilities you will need to contact. In most cases gas, electric, water, and sewer will be handeled by Skyline. You will need to contact other utilities such as telephone, internet service provider, and cable or satellite TV operators. Step 4: Moving Day:
1. Verify with your Skyline Representative the day and time that you can pick up the keys to your new home.
2. Make sure you are in compliance with the community policies and procedures such as parking and quiet hours.
3. You might want to leave the cooking to someone else. Pizza is a common moving day meal. You might find these links helpful: Pizza Hut, Domino's, or Papa John's.
